Westminster College

Testimonial from Dr. Benjamin Akande, President, Westminster College

At Cosmic Sauce, they’re all about next practices. They’re looking to create what does not exist, what’s never been done. And we’ve been beneficiaries of that kind of thinking and that kind of work.

Dr. Benjamin Ola. Akande
President, Westminster College

Background

The inauguration of Dr. Benjamin Akande provided Westminster College a chance to move forward in a bold, new direction. And to capitalize on the momentum generated by Akande’s inauguration, we produced video content that helped the college in three key areas: branding, fundraising and alumni engagement. Overall, our goal was to remind people why they loved Westminster College and inspire them to support the college.

The Work

The first video, “Success to Significance,” set the tone and reestablished the vision for the college. The second video, which was created to support the “Mission: Westminster Fund” campaign, profiled two students who had accomplished remarkable things during their time at the college because of the Westminster Fund. They shared, in a very powerful way, the gratitude they had for donors who helped make it possible for them to attend Westminster. The final piece was a special message from the President thanking the alumni who make the Westminster Fund possible.

The Result

The video we produced to support the “Mission: Westminster Fund” campaign resonated with the college’s different stakeholders, as the campaign raised more than double the gift revenue goal. The college also exceeded its donor participation goal by 150 percent. The “Success to Significance” video has become the college’s signature piece, used at events, donor visits and so on.
